Cottage Cheese Gnocchi with Pecorino and Pear
Preparation Method
- Prepare the Ingredients: - Cottage Cheese: 400 grams (a mix of sheep and goat cottage cheese)
- Flour: 100 grams of all-purpose flour
- Eggs: 2 large eggs
- Sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Pecorino Cheese: 50 grams, grated
- Sour Cream: For serving
- Pear: 1 fresh pear, thinly sliced

- Make the Gnocchi Dough: - Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the 400 grams of cottage cheese, 100 grams of flour, 2 large eggs, and 2 tablespoons of sugar until a smooth dough forms. The dough should be soft but not too sticky.
- Shape the Gnocchi: On a floured surface, roll the dough into long ropes about 1 cm in diameter. Cut the ropes into small pieces to form the gnocchi.

- Cook the Gnocchi: - Boil Water: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the Gnocchi: Add the gnocchi to the boiling water. They are done when they float to the surface, which should take about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

- Prepare the Pear Slices: - Wash and Slice: Wash the fresh pear and thinly slice it.

- Serve the Gnocchi: - Plate the Gnocchi: Place the cooked gnocchi on a serving plate.
- Add Pecorino Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Pecorino cheese over the gnocchi.
- Add Sour Cream: Spoon a generous amount of sour cream over the gnocchi.
- Garnish with Pear Slices: Arrange the fresh pear slices around the gnocchi for a sweet, juicy contrast.

- Enjoy: - Optionally, drizzle with a bit of honey or sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper for extra flavor.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful combination of flavors and textures.
