Preparation Method
Prepare the Ingredients:
Rye Bread: Use house-baked long fermented barley malt rye bread. Slice it into thick pieces.
Avocado: Use fresh farm avocados.
Smoked Salmon: Use house-made smoked salmon, prepared with orange zest, caraway, and coriander.
Red Caviar: Have red caviar ready for garnish.
Cucumber: Slice fresh cucumber thinly.
Herbs and Dill: Use fresh herbs and dill for garnish.
Toast the Rye Bread:
Lightly toast the slices of rye bread until they are golden brown and slightly crispy.
Prepare the Avocado:
Mash the Avocado: In a bowl, mash the fresh avocado until smooth.
Season: Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice to taste.
Assemble the Dish:
Spread the Avocado: Generously spread the seasoned smashed avocado on the toasted rye bread.
Add the Smoked Salmon: Place slices of house-made smoked salmon on top of the avocado.
